Bio

My work draws on the language of minimalist painting. I primarily work with shaped canvases, navigating the intersection of sculpture and painting. Seeking to dissolve the boundaries between object and image, I craft intricate wooden three-dimensional supports over which canvas is stretched and treated with paint or pure pigment.

A distinctive feature of my work is the second layer reveal. Each piece finds its origins in data, a hidden narrative beneath the surface waiting to be unveiled. I meticulously dissect and translate ‘found’ numbers into precisely crafted diagrams, forming the foundation of my compositions. This process transforms raw data into visual poetry, merging analytical rigor with artistic expression.

After this initial process, my work develops into bold and colourful compositions. Both exact and abstract, never obvious, always relevant. The result is a harmonious blend of minimalism, data and complexity. Unexpected, colourful but foremost meaningful.
